By the end of the course, participants will achieve the following learning objectives:
- Understanding the Purpose: Describe the purpose of a laboratory management system based on ISO 17025:2017 and articulate the fundamental principles guiding such systems.
- Navigating Standards: Explain the purpose, content, and interrelationship of ISO 17025:2017 and other relevant standards in the context of laboratory management and accreditation.
- Interpreting ISO Requirements: Interpret the requirements of ISO 17025:2017 within the context of assessing the competence of testing and calibration laboratories.
- Auditor Roles and Responsibilities: Explain the roles and responsibilities of an auditor and lead auditor in planning, conducting, reporting, and following up on an audit of a laboratory management system. This includes aligning with standards such as ISO 19011 and ISO/IEC 17021, as applicable.
- Audit Proficiency: Develop the skills needed to plan, conduct, report, and follow up on an audit of a laboratory management system in conformity with ISO 17025:2017, while adhering to audit standards like ISO 19011 and ISO/IEC 17021
